Working as a team, we create and learn together.

At Conciencia, we believe that every person, regardless of where they are born, has within them a spark capable of transforming their life and their community. But that spark needs support and opportunities to ignite.

We have been working to make it possible since 1982. When someone discovers that they can finish school, access university, start a project, get a decent job, or get involved in their community, something changes: the future is built and hope is born.

That is Conciencia: building genuine connections with people and communities, and accompanying each path with closeness and commitment.

We did it in the democratic transition, when society needed to trust again.
We did it in the years of crisis, when inequality and disillusionment threatened to break the social fabric.
And we continue to do it today, in every province, in every school, and in every community that we support with our work.

Because we believe in education as an engine of change, our task and our horizon is to accompany, with genuine connections, the construction of an Argentina of peaceful coexistence, with responsible citizens who value and respect living in democracy.

Mission

To support people from all over the country in their learning processes and skills development, through educational and community proposals that awaken in them the desire to build their future and that of their community, strengthening democratic coexistence.

Vision

We work for a democratic and plural Argentina, where education is the condition for building an inclusive and involved society.

Our History

Conciencia was founded in 1982, driven by the initiative of a group of 20 women who sought to contribute to the return of democracy in Argentina.

With the call for elections, these women voluntarily began to train citizens on the importance of voting, democratic values, and voting procedures.

We participated in the National Pedagogical Congress, which began in 1984 and ended in 1988, contributing our experience and vision for critical and participatory civic education.
